Apple's iBoot Source code leaked!

The source code of Apple's iBoot, one of the core components of iOS has been leaked online. iBoot is the first program that boots when an iPhone is turned on. Being called the biggest leak of the history, the source code of iBoot was posted on github. While the leaked code has been claimed to be designed for iOS 9, many of the components might still be in use in iOS 11.

While Tim Cook is definitely going to launch a team to find the culprit behind the leak, hackers might already be working to find a vulnerability in the source code. This could cause a jailbreak to resurface on the internet soon, even for iOS 11. Jailbreak of iPhones causes millions of dollars loss to Apple and Apple offers thousands of dollars in bounty to anyone who reports a vulnerability.

Astonishingly, the code was posted last year on Reddit but was buried deep down due to low karma.

But does it matter to someone who does not own an iPhone?
It could as some security analysts claim that this could be used to port iOS on other devices including android.
